  1. Even rock has some solid songs like One Week, Wanna Be with You. My two personal favs are I'll Be There For You (The Friend's Theme) and Breakfast at Tiffany's by Deep Blue Something, one of the most underrated artist of the 90s. A few really good songs in the 90s are missing, but you can't argue with the results!/5(5).
  2. Like most first attempts at chronicling musical eras, Rhino's Billboard Top Hits of the '90s could hardly be called definitive and even as a sampler there are many songs missing. This, of course, is partially due to licensing reasons, but it's also true that it's hard to have a perspective on a decade that was a year and a half old at the time of this disc's release.6/
  3. Billboard Top Hits of the 90's has several songs that you would probably expect to see, such as "Breakfast At Tiffany's," "Right Here, Right Now," "Unbelievable," and "The Sign." It also has a few you probably wouldn't expect to see, such as "Bad Boys," "Free Your Mind," and "I Wish It Would Rain Down." That's where the controversy sneaks in at/5(7).

  5. Get this from a library! Billboard top hits of the '90s.. -- From one hit wonders to music's biggest superstars, relive the '90s with some of the decade's biggest hits. Featured artists include Duran Duran, Genesis, Ace of Base, and more.
  6. The Top 20 Billboard Hot Hits of the s The '90s were notable for several other reasons. Nine of the 20 biggest '90s hits came from women -- more than in the '60s, '70s, or '80s.
  7. The first has to do with the accuracy of the claim of being all #1 hits. In reality it isn't. En Vogue's "Hold On" only peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot in The cover also says "Freak Me" peaked at #1 in ; this feat really happened in With something that has the Billboard name, one would think that accuracy would be top notch/5(10).

  9. Early editions of the Billboard Top Hits series were godsends to archivists, as they gathered a variety of really big hits from often long out of print artists on CD. But with this and the edition, released in , Rhino is coasting on it's reputation with a rather pedestrian list of artists who can, by & large, be found on CD in older /5(9).
